Today I had the priviledge to learn how to cook my mum's favourite Sardine fried rice. It is always a joy to cook for your family and this was the first that I did it for my mum and brother.
Initially, I thought it was going to be very difficult. However, after going through the preparation of ingredients and carrying out the entire cooking process, I realised it was actually very simple. In fact, anyone can do it.
You can find the recipe for 3 people and steps below:
Ingredients
1.5 cups of basmati rice
10 small limes
3 onions
olive oil
1 x Big Ayam brand sardine
10 red or green chilies
Preparation
Squeeze all the limes into a bowl and remove the seeds.
Cut the onions into thin slices
Remove the seeds from the chilies and cut them to small pieces
Cut a few slices of ginger
Open the sardine can and debone the sardine
Wash the basmati rice twice
Steps
Cook the basmati rice in a pressure cooker for 7 minutes.
Heat up a wok.
Put olive oil in the wok when it is hot.
Add the ginger and onion together and stir fry until golden brown.
Add the sardine and chilies and fry together for a few minutes.
Pour the lime into the mixture.
Add the rice and continue stir-frying for a few minutes.
Serve.
That's all folks! Please share your thoughts after trying the recipe. Enjoy!
